Currently Working On - Functional Skills

The school has a strong background in Key Skills and Employability Skills. The e-Me project came out of early work with the Wider Key Skills. While looking for some way to assess Improving Own Learning and Performance, we introduced a 30 minute, end of year review meeting for all Year 12 studenst. Students were expected to take their Progress File into the meeting and were questioned about their progress, preferred learning styles, action planning etc. We soon realised that, in the 21st century, we should not be using paper based records. We introduced ePortfolios.

We are involved with the QCA Functional Skill pilot.
